How do I setup my DavisMail account on my iOS device?

Answer

Important: Before setting up DavisMail on your iOS device, you must first create a separate passphrase and change several account settings.

1. Open the Settings app on your device.
2. Tap Mail.
3. Tap Accounts.
4. Tap Add Account.
5. Tap the Google icon.
6. Enter your account information:
   
   • Email or phone: Enter your full UC Davis email address, (name@ucdavis.edu) then tap Next.
   • Password: Enter the separate passphrase you created previously, then tap Next.
7. Tap Next.
8. Tap Save.

Incoming settings

• IMAP server: imap.gmail.com
• Port: 993
• Security type: SSL (always)

Outgoing settings

• SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com
• Port: 587
• Security type: SSL (always)
