How to Sign in to Zoom from the Computer Application

If you don't yet have the Zoom application, see How to install the Zoom app.

  1. On your PC or Mac, launch the Zoom application.
  2. If you are already logged in to the app using a non-UC Davis Zoom account, log out by clicking your profile icon (at the top right of the Zoom screen) then selecting Sign out.

  3. Click Sign In.
  4. Click Sign In with SSO.
  5. Enter "ucdavis" (without quotes) into the Company Domain field then click Continue.

If this screen appears instead, enter your UC Davis email address then click Continue.
  6. Your browser will launch and go to the Microsoft Online login page, which is a precursor to the UC Davis Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) sign-in page. Enter your UC Davis email address for the first prompt, then your UC Davis account (Kerberos ID and passphrase) next, then click Sign In.
Note: If you have authenticated recently, this step may occur automatically.

  7. If this is the first time you are logging in to UC Davis Zoom, you will be prompted to confirm your email address. Click the Confirm your email address button and Zoom will send you an email with a unique link you must click on to finish provisioning your account. Once that is done, try logging in to Zoom again. You will not be able to access UC Davis Zoom until you confirm your email address.
  8. Once signed in, this page will appear and Zoom should open. If not, click the Launch Zoom button.
  9. If you want to test that Zoom is working properly, go to https://zoom.us/test.

It can also be used to join meetings without installing the Zoom application, but keep in mind that the Zoom web client has limited features and functionality. For more information, see Zoom web client.

  1. Go to https://ucdavis.zoom.us and click Sign in.

    Note:

Note: If you have ADFS authenticated recently, this step may occur automatically.
