How do I connect to the eduroam wireless network from a Chromebook?

Answer

Add the Eduroam wireless network manually:

1. On the bottom right corner of your screen, click on the network icon (Wi-Fi symbol)
2. From the list of available networks, select "eduroam".
3. Enter the settings for eduroam:
   • EAP method: PEAP
   • EAP Phase 2 authentication: Automatic
   • Server CA certificate: Default
   • Subject match: (leave blank)
   • Subject alternative name match: (leave blank)
   • Domain suffix match: ucdavis.edu
   • Identity: 
     
     • yourkerberosid@ucdavis.edu (CORRECT)
     • youremail@ucdavis.edu (INCORRECT)
       
   • Password: Kerberos Passphrase 
   • Anonymous identity: (leave blank)
4. Check the Save identity and password option.
5. Click Connect.

Add the Eduroam wireless network using Eduroam CAT:

1. Visit https://cat.eduroam.org/?idp=831 from your device's web browser.
2. Click the button that says "Click here to download your eduroam installer". It should detect your computer's Chrome OS.
3. After downloading the file, open Chrome and navigate to "chrome://net-internals/#chromeos" (no quotes).
4. Click the "Import ONC file" button. If prompted to select a file, choose the one that you just downloaded a moment ago.
5. Go to the wireless network list on your device and select Eduroam. You should now be connected.
