How do I add, remove, or modify a Banner printer?

Banner Printer Support
Banner has the ability to print output from jobs and Forms to network printers on campus. This allows printing of documents like transcripts directly to an office printer. These printers are connected to the UC Davis network and should meet the minimum requirements on this page. If the printer does not meet the minimum requirements, the Banner Help Desk can still attempt to add the printer.
Banner printer prerequisites
- Verify the printer supports PostScript printing.
- HP printers are the only fully-supported printers for Banner, but others may work (the Banner Help Desk can assist by setting up the printer to test).
- Verify firewall is open to Banner (firewall rules should allow connections from IP addresses of 128.120.38.x for ports 515 and 9100).
How to request Banner printer setup/change/removal
Email bannerhelpdesk@ucdavis.edu and include the following information:
- Specify the type of request: (New, Change, or Remove) a Banner printer.
- Suggested Banner printer name (10 characters max).
- Make and model of the printer.
- IP address of the printer.
- Technical contact name, phone number, and e-mail address.
- New printer's Room and Building.
