Question

How do I setup my Outlook 2011 (for Mac) client for uConnect?

Overview

uConnect is the on-premise Exchange solution for email hosted by IET. For more information about the service, visit the uConnect support page.

Answer

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Click on Tools and select Accounts...
  3. Click on the button next to Exchange Account.
  4. Enter your Exchange account information.
    • E-Mail address: UC Davis email address
    • Method: User Name and Password
    • User name: Kerberos LoginID
    • Password: Kerberos Passphrase
    • Uncheck box for Configure automatically
    • Server: owa.ucdavis.edu
  5. Click Add Account.
  6. Click on Advanced...
    • Server: owa.ucdavis.edu
    • Check the box for Use SSL to connect

Directory service

Click OK and close any remaining setup windows.
