How to manually verify UC Davis SSL certificate presented by a website?

Overview

If your browser displays a certificate warning dialog box, the SSL certificate is unlikely to be valid, and you should not proceed to enter any sensitive information, such as personal information ID numbers or passwords. 

If such a warning dialog is displayed when connecting to a UC Davis website, you should contact IT Express for assistance and information.

Please follow the steps below to manually verify UC Davis SSL certificate presented by a website:

3. A Certificate window will appear. Be sure the Valid From date is current and the Issued to site matches the site you are on:
