How do I register multiple devices in Duo?

If you want to register a security key, follow steps on Duo Security Key Overview, otherwise continue following the instructions below.
We recommend registering multiple devices in Duo because this will provide a backup method of authenticating with Duo when your primary method is not available. You can register multiple smartphones, tablets, security keys, or any combination of those.
The devices you set as your "Default Device" will receive the Duo prompt. You will not receive Duo prompts from every device each time you authenticate.
To enroll a secondary device:
- Go to computingaccounts.ucdavis.edu
- Select Duo Multifactor Device Manager
- Authenticate with Duo
- Select Add a device.
- Now, follow the steps in one of the following articles to add a secondary device:
If you are still having issues with this at the self service level or need to report an issue, you have phone support for this service 24/7.
Due to the nature of this service, this is supported by phone call only as email is not approved by the Information Security Office.
