What do I do if I am having trouble logging onto Banner?

Accessing Banner Through the Web
You can log into Banner directly through your desktop. Banner Connect is no longer in use with the Banner 9 update.
- Banner access is available on-campus only. If connecting from off-campus, please use a departmental VPN.
- Login to Banner (Link to https://banner.ucdavis.edu)
- Internet Explorer is not supported for Banner usage. Please use Chrome (recommended) or Firefox.
- If problems persist, email ithelp@ucdavis.edu.
Troubleshooting Log In Issues
If you find that you're unable to reach the Banner log in page for the Banner production or non-production instances, please ensure that you are connecting from a campus subnet or departmental VPN.
ORA-1017: invalid username/password; logon denied.
- Be sure to use your hard token password or Duo Push option not Kerberos password when logging into Banner.
- Double check that the 'Username' contains your Kerberos login id.
- A hard token or Duo account must be assigned to a user by the Banner helpdesk. If you have a new (or used) hard token that you have not notified the Banner help desk of, your hard token will not work. Please contact the Banner helpdesk with your Kerberos login and the serial number of the token you wish to use.
ORA-28000: the account is locked
- If you have recently changed departments or underwent a payroll status change (Job title, temporary leave, etc.), you will need to fill out a new request for Banner access. For more information and step-by-step guide for applying for banner access visit the Request Access page.
- Entered incorrect password 3 times and now account is locked. Please contact the Banner helpdesk with your Kerberos login and the serial number of the your token.
