How do I set the default SMTP address for an account?

Modifying the SMTP addresses for a mailbox in Office 365 has to be completed on-premise through the ECP (http://owa.ucdavis.edu/ecp/). This is true even for Office 365 mailboxes, as the SMTP addresses for a mailbox are synced from on-premise.
