Question

What is WarnMe and how can I make certain I receive these messages?

Overview

WarnMe is an emergency notification service that will be used to send messages to you via email accounts, phones and devices listed in the Campus Directory. If you choose to provide additional contact information, we will also send emergency notifications to personal email addresses, cell phones and devices. Please note that information collected for the WarnMe service will only be used to send you information in the event of a campus emergency.

Answer

We now use Everbridge for the emergency communications. Everbrdge will send email to @ucdavis.edu email addresses with a From: address of warnme@ucdavis.edu, and for non-@ucdavis.edu addresses, the From: address is ucdavis@everbridge.net.
Everbridge emails will come from noreply@everbridge.net from everbridge.net email servers.

It should not be necessary for Campus users on Office 365 and Davismail to adjust firewall and email "allow listing" rules to allow traffic from Everbridge servers.

Certain secondary email filters, such as phishing filters looks for key words such as "password" or "username" and will delay or restrict the delivery of emails with those words.  If you have these in place, be sure to specifically remove the following addresses from such filtering.
