How do I connect to the eduroam wireless network from my Android device?
Overview
Users can perform these steps before they come to campus.
If you do not have cellular service before or after you arrive on campus to complete these steps, please use steps on the main article Connecting to the eduroam wireless network
Answer
- On your Android device, go to the Play Store and search for "eduroam CAT".
- Tap Install.
- Go to http://cat.eduroam.org/?idp=831.
- Tap the Click here to download your eduroam installer button.
- Tap your Android version.
- Tap Continue.
- Tap Download.
- Tap Allow to allow eduroamCAT to access your device's location.
- Open the file.
- Allow the installation.
- Tap Install.
- Tap Yes.
- Log in with the following settings:
- EAP method: PEAP
- Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2
- CA certificate: "Do not validate" or "Use system certificates"
- Online certificate status (if applicable): "Do not validate
- Domain: ucdavis.edu
- Identity:
- yourkerberosid@ucdavis.edu (CORRECT)
- youremail@ucdavis.edu (INCORRECT)
- Anonymous identity: [LEAVE BLANK]
- Password: Your Kerberos Passphrase
- The eduroam entry should now display Connected.

- If your device is running Android 13, you may need to use the "getEduroam" app from the Play store instead of "eduroam CAT".
