How do I setup my Android device for uConnect?
Overview
uConnect is the on-premise Exchange solution for email hosted by IET. For more information about the service, visit the uConnect service page.
Answer
- From your device home screen, activate the menu button.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Accounts & sync.
- Tap Add account.
- Select Corporate.
- Based on your version of the Android OS you may not have the Corporate option
- Enter the account settings below, then tap Next.

- Email address: Your full campus email address (@ad3.ucdavis.edu)
- Password: Your uConnect passphrase
- Email address: Your full campus email address (@ad3.ucdavis.edu)
- Wait for the account to sign in.
- Enter the server settings below, then tap Next.

- Domain\Username: ad3\loginid (where loginid is your campus username)
- Password: Your uConnect passphrase
- Server: owa.ucdavis.edu
- User secure connection (SSL): Check
- Accept all SSL certificates: Uncheck
- Wait while the device checks server settings.
- Set the desired options, then tap Next.
- Type a name for the account, then tap Done.
