How do I log into an OU Mailbox?
Overview
Our uConnect Administrator has established a resource mailbox for department use, and I need to know how to access it. Alternatively, uConnect administrators may also use this to create mailboxes for student workers without disrupting their existing DavisMail account.
Answer
Office 365
Outlook Web App (OWA)
- Sign into the Outlook Web App (OWA) at http://outlook.office365.com.
- You will need to use the account's UPN. If you don't know what that is you can look it up with the user find tool on uInform.
- This will redirect you to the UC Davis Office 365 login page.
- Enter the UPN and password.
- If successful, you should be redirected to your OU account on Office 365.
Client Configuration
IMAP settings:
- Username: Enter the UPN. If you don't know what that is you can look it up with the user find tool on uInform.
- Password: Provisioned by your uConnect administrator.
- IMAP Server: outlook.office365.com
- Port: 993
- SSL Enabled: Yes
- Authentication: Normal Password
- SMTP Server: smtp.office365.com
- Port: 587
- SSL Enabled: Yes
- TLS Authentication: Normal Password
uConnect On Premise
Outlook Web App (OWA)
Sign into the Outlook Web App (OWA) at http://owa.ucdavis.edu.
- For your username, enter domain/username or UPN. If you don't know what that is you can look it up with the user find tool on uInform.
- Enter the password provisioned by your department’s uConnect administrator. Note: This may be different than your Kerberos ID.
- If successful, you should be redirected to your OU on premise uConnect account.
Client Configuration
For setting up your client configuration, please select your client below but use the following configuration settings:
Kerberos Login ID or Username: Enter domain/username or UPN. If you don't know what that is you can look it up with the user find tool on uInform.
Password: Provisioned by your uConnect administrator.
