How do I setup my DavisMail account using AppleMail (PC & Mac)?
Important: If you plan to access your DavisMail on a mobile device or an email application please visit this article. You must follow the steps outlined in that article before proceeding to configure your account.
Outside of the UC Davis branding, your DavisMail account is identical in function to Gmail.
We understand that many DavisMail users also have personal Google Apps accounts, you can sign-in to multiple accounts or toggle between them. For more information, please see Google’s documentation.
Note: The steps listed below are for users on the current OS X Operating System (10.11.x), for users on previous versions of Apple Mail the steps may be slightly different.
- With Apple Mail open, click Mail in the top application navigation bar and then click Accounts.
- Click Google
- A Google authentication window will appear, enter your full @ucdavis.edu email address and click Next
- Enter your GOOG passphrase that you set after following the steps outlined in the overview of this article, click Next.
- Select the Apps you wish to sync: Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Messages and Notes.
- Click Done.
