Cascade Global drop-down site select menu just spinning

Question

When I try to select a site in the Global drop-down menu, I only get a spinning icon.

Overview

A couple of things can cause this spinning icon to appear, most often, a user has been idle too long and, though you can still see the Cascade screen, you're unable to navigate to other sites or perform functions inside the system. Alternately, it could be related to a browser cache issue.

Answer

If idle too long you can:

  1. Click the Log Out link in the upper right corner of the screen.
  2. Return to Cascade by entering in http://cascade.ucdavis.edu in the URL field.
  3. Authenticate through CAS and resume your work in the CMS.

If a browser cache issue has occurred:

  1. Clear your browser history
  2. Return to Cascade by entering in http://cascade.ucdavis.edu in the URL field.
  3. Authenticate through CAS and resume your work in the CMS.
