People index is blank in Web CMS

Question

I set up person pages/blocks - why is my People index page blank?

Answer

There are a few different reasons why your People index might not display any results.

  1. If you're using the block version, has the block been attached a Flex page in the /people folder?
  2. If you're using the block version, has the page with the people index block been published to a server environment? The block version of the people index runs on JSON and needs to be published to a server in order for the programming code in the background to run.
  3. If you're using the block version, has the both the column and the block region the People Index block is attached to been activated?
  4. In either the block or the page version, if an ampersand or double quotation marks have been used in a text area (Personal Note, Job Description, or Mailing Address) it can cause a conflict in the back-end code and break the page resulting in a blank People index page with no output. Convert ampersands to 'and' and double quotation marks to a single quotation mark.
