Answers

How do I create my Account?

To create your account visit http://myadmissions.ucdavis.edu.

On the right-hand side of the screen, you’ll see a button that says: Set Up Account.

Click that button and follow the on-screen instructions. Don’t forget that your Student ID# is a 9-digit number, it was emailed to you in December from UC Davis. It IS NOT your UC Application ID#. If you do NOT know your Student ID #, please call Undergraduate Admissions at 530-752-2971.

Please wait at least 15 minutes before logging into your account after a successful creation. When logging in, please use the Login ID that you created and not the Student ID #. Due to the volume of users accessing our systems at any given moment this delay is necessary to maintain system integrity.

I’m an international student, how do I verify my address?

Our web form does not process international mailing addresses; this includes postal codes for applicants in Canada. If you did not supply a US-based address, please give us a call.

Secondly, sometimes we receive your full 9-digit zip code. So try that first as well, without the hyphen.

Still not working? We can be reached at +1 530-754-4357 and can assist you with verifying your information and offering an alternative reset method.

Will my passphrase be sent to me via email?

It will not. We do not have your personal email address on file. If you decide to attend UC Davis, you will create an official @ucdavis.edu email address after you submit your SIR (Statement of Intent to Register) and $100 deposit. At that point, you will receive email communications related to successful and failed passphrase reset attempts at that email, but your passphrase will NEVER be emailed to you.

I created an account, now what?

When you create your account, please allow up to 15-minutes before logging into the account. Due to the volume of users accessing our systems at any given moment, this delay is necessary to maintain system integrity.

To log in to your account, visit http://myadmissions.ucdavis.edu and click on the Login button. You will be prompted to enter your Kerberos LoginID and Passphrase. If you decide to attend UC Davis, these credentials will remain the same (unless you need to reset your passphrase).

You will only be able to access the My Admissions portal. If you decide to attend UC Davis, you will need to submit your SIR and your $100 deposit. After this, you will create your official @ucdavis.edu email address and then be able to access the My UC Davis portal.

I’m having a hard time creating a LoginID

Your UC Davis LoginID is a 6-8 character “username” that you’ll use to access UC Davis. It can contain letters and numbers, but cannot contain symbols or spaces.

I’m having a hard time creating a strong passphrase

The passphrase must be a MINIMUM of 12-characters. It CAN contain spaces, numbers & symbols. If it’s on the keyboard, it’s fair game.

An example, to get you started of an acceptable passphrase would be: I Like Mt. Dew!

Notice I have used spaces, upper and lower-case letters as well as symbol at the end.
