How do I reset my Passphrase?

To reset your passphrase visit http://myadmissions.ucdavis.edu.

On the right-hand side of the screen you’ll see a link that says: I forgot my passphrase.

It is located ABOVE the Login button.

Click that link and follow the on-screen instructions. You DO NOT need to answer your challenge questions to reset your passphrase if you go through My Admissions. You will set new challenge questions.

I reset my passphrase and it’s not working

When you reset your passphrase, please allow up to 15-minutes before attempting to login to My Admissions. Due to the volume of users accessing our systems at any given moment this delay is necessary to maintain system integrity.

I don’t remember the answers to my challenge questions

As an applicant, we’ve eliminated the need to answer your challenge questions, should you need to reset your passphrase. Resetting your passphrase via http://myadmissions.ucdavis.edu does not require you to answer the questions you previously set. Instead you’ll set new questions when you reset your passphrase.

If you’re being prompted to answer (not set) your questions, you’re on the reset portal. Please visit the My Admissions page (http://myadmissions.ucdavis.edu).

I’m checking all the schools I applied for but it’s still not working

It’s critical that you check all the schools you applied for, not just UC Davis. Unless of course you only applied to UC Davis. Historically, we’ve worked with a lot of students who only applied to UC Davis but their application had also flagged UC Merced. Try that first, if it’s still not working please give us a call. We can be reached at (530) 754-4357 and can assist you with verifying your information.

I’m entering new challenge questions and it’s still not working

When you go through the reset process on My Admissions there are three questions you’ll need to setup.

The first two questions require you to choose preset questions via a menu drop-down and then type in your answer for each.

The third question requires you to type the question text and also type in an answer. That third question is usually what trips people up. If you haven’t entered text into 4 fields, you’ve missed one.
