How do I connect to the UCD-Guest Wireless Network?
Overview
The UCD-Guest Wireless Network that UC Davis provides is for visitors on campus. If you are visiting UC Davis for a short time and you will need a wireless connection then this is the network to use.
Note: If you are a Student, Staff, or Faculty with an active UC Davis Computing Account, you should connect to the eduroam Wireless Network instead of UCD-Guest. For instructions on how to connect to eduroam, please visit Connecting to the eduroam Wireless Network.

How to Create a UCD-Guest Account
Note: If you have already created a UCD-Guest Account, you can skip this and go directly to the How to Connect to UCD-Guest section below.
- Open the available wireless network list on your computer or device.
- Choose UCD-Guest.
- If available for your OS, select Connect Automatically.
- Click Connect.
- The UCD-Guest Registration/Login page should open automatically. If it does not, open a web browser and navigate to a website - this should make it appear.
- Click on Create a UCD-Guest Account.
- Enter your name, a valid mobile phone number (one that can accept text messages), and a valid email address.
Note: If you do not have a mobile phone number that can accept text messages, you can leave the phone number field blank and the password will be emailed to your email address. - Read and accept the terms of use.
- Click Register.
After the above steps are completed, the system will send both a text message and an email to the contacts you provided with your username and password information. In all cases, your username will be your full email address and the password is a series of 8 digits.

How to Connect to UCD-Guest
- Open the available wireless network list on your computer or device.
- Choose UCD-Guest.
- If available for your OS, select Connect Automatically.
- Click Connect.
- The UCD-Guest Registration/Login page should open automatically. If it does not, open a web browser and navigate to a website - this should it appear.
- Choose Login with an existing account. If you have not already done so, you will first need to create a UCD-Guest account.
- Enter your UCD-Guest username (the email address used to create the UCD-Guest account).
- Enter your UCD-Guest password (the 8 digit password you received via text message or email when creating your UCD-Guest account).
- Click Login. Please note that it may take some time for the login process to complete when connecting for the first time.
