Question

How do I connect to the UC Davis Guest wireless network?

Overview

The UCD-Guest Wireless Network is for visitors to campus. If you are visiting UC Davis for a short time and need a wireless connection, this is the network to use.

Note: If you are a current student, staff, faculty or other affiliate with a UC Davis computing account, you should use the Eduroam wireless network instead. If your device is configured for both Eduroam and the Guest wireless network, remove the UCD Guest network to prevent connectivity and performance issues.

Answer

To connect to the UCD-Guest wireless network:

  1. Open the wireless network list on your computer or mobile device.
  2. Choose UCD-Guest.
  3. Depending on your device's operating system, you may also need to click Connect or similar. If you see an option to connect automatically, it is recommended that you enable it.
  4. The UCD-Guest Wi-Fi Login page should open automatically.
  5. Read the linked Terms of Use then click the Accept button to start using the guest wireless network.

Note: You will see this prompt again if you are off the guest network for more than 8 hours.
