Can I create a way for students to submit assignments via Box.com?
Answer
- Go to https://ucdavis.box.com
- Click the Continue button
- On the UC Davis login page, enter your UC Davis login ID and passphrase
- Create a folder that can be used for students to submit their assignments as files, but does not give them access to the folder's contents:
- Create a new folder using the + New button at the upper left corner. In the dropdown click Folder. Name the folder something like "ENG006 assignments PRIVATE." Under Collaboration select Keep private for now.
- In the row where the new folder appears, click on the ellipsis (...) icon on the right. In the dropdown hover the pointer over Properties and then click on Folder Settings.
5. On the Settings page, under Uploading > Email Uploads select Allow uploads to this folder via email. Copy the email address in the Upload Email Address field and save it to your computer. Click Save Changes.
6. It is recommended that you send out the email address for an assignment folder via a UC Davis class mailing list.
