Question

How do I make sure I have the most recent version of Zoom?

Answer

iOS (iPhone and iPad):

Update the Zoom app in the App store on your device. See Apple support article Update your apps manually for details.

Android (Phone and other devices like Tablets and Chromebooks):

Update the Zoom app in the Google Play store on your device. See Google support article Update your Android apps for details.

Windows and Mac:

  1. Open the Zoom application. Updating cannot be done from the Zoom web portal - the Zoom app must be open and running in order to upgrade to a new version of Zoom.

2. At the top right of the Zoom screen in the application, click your profile icon, then select Check for Updates.

Note:
If you do not see "Check for Updates", your Zoom version should automatically be updated by BigFix, the campus computer management system. If it is not, contact your IT support team.

3. If a new version is available, a message similar to this will appear. The update will automatically begin to download.

4. Once the update is downloaded, click the Update button.

5. Zoom will update, then automatically re-launch.

If you have any issues with updating, you can also uninstall and re-install the Zoom application. See Zoom support article How to uninstall Zoom for details.
