Question
How do I setup email forwarding?
Overview
Non-UC Davis Health affiliates are able to forward their UC Davis email address to another destination while working or attending classes at UC Davis.
If you are affiliated with UC Davis Health you will be unable to forward your UC email emails. UC Davis Health affiliates with questions about this policy can contact the UC Davis Health Technology Operations Center at 916-734-4357.
Answer
- Go to http://accounts.ucdavis.edu
- Click Email forwarding.
- Enter your details then click Submit Information.
- Select Deliver to other account.
- Enter the email address you would like incoming messages sent to.
- Enter your kerberos Passphrase then click Continue.
Note: Please allow 15 minutes for any forwarding changes to take effect.
Emails are no longer stored at UC Davis when forwarded and successful delivery is dependent on your email provider.

I'm not receiving emails to my destination address
Forwarded email will not always be instantaneous to your destination email address.
In most cases (99% of the time) email will arrive immediately. However sometimes there can be a delay in processing forwarded email. In addition, some mail that is forwarded might be marked/flagged as spam by the destination's spam filtering protocols. If you still require troubleshooting assistance with email forwarding please contact IT Express. Please note, we are unable to provide full support for non-UC Davis email addresses when forwarding does not occur.
